My name is MONKII, and I’m a contemporary artist creating bold, emotional, and powerful works of art. I am from Drammen, Norway. I was born on September 6th 1992 and my real name is Veronica Freberg.
My paintings are more than visual statements — they are emotional blueprints for breaking free, reclaiming joy, and living fully.
Each piece is infused with soul, defiance, and transformation.
Because I don’t just create art.
I create freedom on canvas.
From chaos to clarity. From survival to strength.
Behind every brushstroke is a story — my story.
I’ve lived through addiction.
I’ve survived a violent relationship.
I’ve questioned who I was — and fought to become who I am.
Through it all, art became my voice. My escape.
And eventually — my revolution.
Today, I live with unshakable clarity:
You can rewrite your story. You can rise. You can create something beautiful — no matter where you’ve been.
Identity is fluid. Art is truth.
My work often explores identity, queerness, and inner duality. I create powerful characters — many of them trans, gender-fluid, or undefined — because I live and breathe that space myself.
My body is female. My identity? Fiercely mine. Masculine, unapologetic, and real. That truth informs how I paint, how I see the world, and how I create characters who live beyond boxes or labels. I live beyond labels. I create from that place of in-between — of strength, love, and freedom.

My philosophy is simple:
